Job Title: Hairdressing Lecturer
Location: Bolton College
Term: Temporary, expected to run until June 2027
Hours: 4 days per week, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
Pay Rate: £27.71 to £30 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Start Date: As soon as possible

Position Overview

Bolton Talent Solutions and Bolton College are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Hairdressing Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching and practical training on a temporary basis until June 2027.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging hairdressing sessions that combine practical salon skills with the relevant underpinning knowledge. You will support learners throughout their programmes, monitor their progress and help them develop the professional standards required for successful careers within the hairdressing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality practical and theoretical hairdressing lessons from levels 1 to 3
• Teach and demonstrate a range of hairdressing techniques in line with curriculum requirements
• Prepare engaging lesson plans, learning materials and practical activities
• Assess learner work and provide timely, constructive feedback

Key Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing
• Level 3 teaching qualification
• Strong practical hairdressing skills and current industry knowledge
