Mechanical Engineering Lecturer (Temporary)

Bolton Talent Solutions are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer on behalf of Bolton College.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional or lecturer to join a well-established Further Education provider, delivering high-quality teaching to learners aged 16-18.

Position Details

  • Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lecturer
  • Location: Bolton College, Bolton
  • Contract Type: Temporary
  • Hours: 24 hours per week
  • Working Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
  • Pay Rate: £28.00 - £30.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective learning across BTEC Engineering programmes Levels 1-3. You will support learners aged 16-18 in developing their technical knowledge, practical skills, and industry understanding, helping them achieve their qualifications and progress into employment or higher-level study.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Mechanical Engineering lessons across BTEC Levels 1-3.
  • Plan, prepare and assess learner work in line with awarding body requirements.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and assessment.
  • Create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Support students to achieve their academic and personal development goals.

Requirements

  • Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • Experience teaching or training within Engineering.
  • Knowledge of BTEC Engineering programmes.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding learner outcomes.
