These roles are not permanent positions but offer flexible opportunities within a Further Education setting Bolton College.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging practical and classroom based lessons
  • Plan, prepare, and assess learner progress
  • Support and motivate students to achieve their potential
  • Maintain a safe and professional learning environment
  • Adapt quickly to different classes, courses, and assignment lengths
  • Uphold college standards and safeguarding requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Strong industry experience within a construction trade
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent), or willingness to work towards one
  • Ability to adapt to different teaching environments and short term assignments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A passion for supporting learners in Further Education
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

  • Previous FE teaching, training, or apprenticeship delivery experience
  • Experience delivering City & Guilds, NVQs, or T Level qualifications
  • Assessor/IQA qualifications
  • Experience working in temporary or agency education roles
