Role: Hairdressing Tutor
Location: Bolton College, Deane Road Campus
Hours: Fridays only – 11:00am to 12:30pm and 1:00pm to 3:30pm
Term: Temporary – until Friday 19th December 2025 (potential to extend)

Pay Rates:

• £22.68 to £24.69 per hour (including holiday pay), depending on qualifications and experience

Position Overview:

We are looking to appoint a skilled and enthusiastic Hairdressing Tutor to deliver teaching on Fridays to groups of learners working towards their vocational hairdressing qualifications.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and industry-relevant hairdressing lessons and demonstrations
  • Provide guidance, technical support, and assessment to learners working on practical and theory-based skills
  • Create a professional salon environment that promotes high standards and positive learner behaviour
  • Track learner progress and contribute to feedback and record keeping as required

 

Key Requirements:

• Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing or equivalent
  • Industry experience within hairdressing and/or barbering
  • Previous experience working with learners in a salon or education setting is desirable
